Upload ID and Payment Information
After clicking Purchase the Exam, you log in with your Google account. You continue to a System Compatibility page that checks that your system and connection speed meet the requirements for a quality exam experience. If your system meets the requirements, you then upload your picture ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) and provide payment information.
Schedule the Exam
After paying for your exam, you receive an email receipt and voucher code with a link to the exam scheduling tool. Ten minutes prior to the scheduled exam you receive an email alert with a link to the exam’s Start page. The Start page remains available for one hour after its scheduled time and you must start your exam within that time.
Complete the Exam
The exam opens in a Linux-based exam environment (supplied with Google Chrome and Atom). You review and step through each task writing the code in Atom and testing it in Chrome.
You have four hours to complete the exam. If after four hours you haven't submitted your exam, any work that you have saved will automatically be submitted. A timer shows you how much time you have remaining to help you pace yourself.
Submit the Exam
When you have completed all of the tasks you are able to complete, you submit the exam for grading and continue to the exit interview (you'll have a chance for a brief break before starting the exit interview). The interview itself lasts for ten minutes and consists of five questions about the exam you just took. Your responses are recorded and reviewed by the Google Developers Certification Team.
Receive Your Certification
If you successfully complete the exam and exit interview, you are awarded the Google Mobile Web Specialist Certification. Note that it may take up to 45 days for the evaluation of your assessment to be completed.
You must be able to present government-issued photo identification from a non-embargoed country. For Canada, United States, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, and Switzerland you may use a driver’s license. For all other countries you must provide a current passport.
